This competition was Town Centre Management's contribution to the Festival of Light.

Schoolchildren from around Scarborough were asked to design a Christmas light and the two entries judged best of all were made up and displayed in Bar Street and on the indoor market.

Hundreds of entries were received, with the winning designs being unvieled on the 1st December
